Renji is built by Balingene N'sii Dan, a student at United States International University – Africa, Nairobi, Kenya.

Frontier AI systems are being deployed faster than the work to make them verifiably safe. Most of the people doing alignment research sit inside a handful of well-funded labs in two countries. I started this project because I think the problem is too important to leave to that small group, and because the experiments I want to run do not require their resources — only enough compute to finish them.
